TRXUS FIRST TIME IN HANNOVER
Freiraumlab is a passionate collective based in Hannover, dedicated to bringing dark and fast psytrance to life for over 15 years. They are widely known and loved for their free, meticulously crafted open-air parties during the summer.
One of the standout features of their events is their "spaceship" – a unique, CNC-cut wooden structure that serves as both a stage and the centerpiece of their gatherings. This masterpiece combines artistic vision with technical precision, captivating everyone who attends. This time, I had the honor of disassembling this incredible structure into its individual components – a fascinating glimpse into the creativity and craftsmanship behind Freiraumlab.

The Stage and process
This time, I pushed my newly acquired 3D skills to the limit to fully deconstruct the iconic Freiraumlab stage into its individual components. The process of recreating this stage from scratch was an absolute joy. Since the original file was designed for CNC production, it wasn’t suitable for direct 3D implementation. As a result, I took on the challenge of modeling the entire structure from the ground up—and what can I say? It was an incredible experience.
The skills I rediscovered and honed during this project are truly one of a kind. From exploring new workflows to maintaining the signature style while crafting entirely new scenes, the journey was both challenging and rewarding. This process reminded me of the importance of continuous growth: when you stay focused on improving and keep your goals in sight, you can achieve remarkable things.
I’m thrilled to share the results of this process with you. Let me know what you think and stay inspired—there’s always something new to learn!
